Exploring Warm and Cool Colors with Watercolors

Join Katerina Krjanina’s immersive Color Theory Class, where you will deepen your understanding of color relationships using the fluid beauty of watercolor. This hands-on workshop is designed for artists of all levels who want to explore how warm and cool colors interact in composition.

What to Expect

Participants will work with two carefully arranged still-life setups:
Warm Color Still Life – Featuring rich reds, oranges, and yellows, this setup will help artists understand how warm hues create energy, depth, and a sense of movement.
Cool Color Still Life – Composed of blues, greens, and purples, this arrangement will demonstrate how cool tones evoke calmness, distance, and tranquility.

Please note that still-life setup colors may vary.

The Artist’s approach

Through guided exercises, you’ll practice color mixing, temperature contrasts, and watercolor techniques that enhance your ability to bring mood and harmony into your artwork. You’ll also gain insights into color perception, layering, and transparency – key elements in mastering watercolors.
